Who’s dreaming about a Mamma Mia summer?

Greece is one of those countries that you’ll never get bored of visiting, with thousands of islands to choose from! The Cyclades are among the most beautiful.

There are about 220 islands, but most of them are uninhabited, and many of them are too small to even be put on a map.

The most famous Cyclades are picture-perfect, such as Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Antiparos, Milos, Ios, Naxos, & Syros.

The most spectacular & probably the most well-known of all is Santorini. A little bit of history: Did you know the entire island is actually a volcanic rock? The island was formed over 400,000 years ago from more than 100 volcanic eruptions. Due to these volcanic eruptions, Santorini is home to its unique black, white, and red beaches! But that’s not what Santorini is most famous for. The whitewashed houses, the most epic sunsets, beautiful cliff-top villages, and amazing weather all make for an idyllic getaway. Santorini is one of those places where “your jaw literally drops” as it’s that picturesque!

Another one of the famous Cyclades is Mykonos. It’s well-known as a party island but also for its beautiful beaches, luxurious resorts, and, of course, wild nightlife! It is a relatively small island. The must-do is to wander around Mykonos town. Spending the mornings exploring the little alleyways and narrow streets, which are lined with independent shops and cafes, is that kind of experience you don’t want to miss! It looks pretty in photos, but when you’re there, it feels so much more amazing. You also must see the windmills, one of the most iconic and best things to do on the island. Not to mention Little Venice, my personal favorite place to be in Mykonos, nothing better than drinking a glass of bubbly or having a meal of delicious Greek food while listening to the sound of the ocean.

Another and my personal favorite is Paros. It is a gem of an island with stunning towns and coastlines but without the hefty price tag. Plus, it’s less busy than the very popular places of Santorini, which makes it the perfect island to visit in the Cyclades whilst island-hopping. Paros is so underrated as it is a beauty. The main town, Naoussa, is extremely picturesque with whitewashed houses and cobbled alleyways. The seafront restaurants are always serving delicious Greek food. The island is home to many white sand amazing beaches. There is something amazing to do for everyone. One of the best things to do in Paros is to admire the island from the sea. You can easily rent a self-driving boat and spend the day exploring Paros and Antiparos’ stunning coastline.

Antiparos is a smaller island than Paros, only 20 minutes by boat or ferry. It’s a true gem for a day trip. Lots of independent stores, cafes, and little foodie spots around every corner. No wonder why so many people have started choosing this gem for its laid-back vibe and off-the-beaten-path vibe.
